2nd Annual Judged Dog Trial Another Success!

After a great inception in 2006 of adding a stock dog competition to complement the Calgary Bull Sale events, the 2nd Annual Calgary Stock Dog Trial again a great event!! Once again, twenty stock dogs faced off against cattle in the Big Top arena for a ‘judged’ stock dog competition in conjunction with the 107th annual Calgary Bull Sale. Dogs and handlers returned to compete traveling from Alberta, Saskatchewan and B.C.

The challenging indoor course involved dogs working cattle, and were judged by Peter Gonnet. Although there was a maximum time allowed, the runs were not judged for speed. Points were given for each obstacle completed correctly.
